There is no doubt that the Saab is much more car than the Accord in terms of power, luxury, etc. However, there are several factors to consider. Your Accord, holds its value far better than a Saab. Buying a Saab is a one way street. If you get it, you get it for good. You are unlikely to be able to sell it for whatever sum you get it for. No matter how many upgrades you perform. In fact, upgrades depreciate the car even more. In short Saabs depreciate more than Hondas and that is a fact.
Saabs need attention and proper maintenance. Probably more than Hondas. The ailments on Saabs are well known. Much like a hurracaine, you know which problems WILL surface and you can prepare for them accordingly. The ill prepared will take a gigantic hit which could have been avoided with some prior preparation. A Honda mechanic is cheaper than a Saab mechanic (they are in my area at least), although this gap is closing quickly.
If you cannot do some of the basic DIY yourself, I would stick to the Honda. If you are not afraid to get dirty from time to time, Saab all the way. The daily ride will convince you that it is a superior car.
