How do I change brakelight bulb on a 5-door?

Wait - this is not as stupid a question as it seems! Damn near, though.

My daughter is 3000 miles away with her '97 5 door, and just called me to say the car just started beeping and told her there had been a brakelight failure. She checks, and sure enough ,a bulb is out.

So she calls me and asks what to do - she is brand new to owning a car, not much with tools (I know, I know, but I tried.....) and has no clue how to change it. I can't walk her through it because I never done one in a NG and the manual is in her car.

Worse, I can't tell her where to go because I always do diddly stuff like that myself - last time I ever had a bulb replaced was back when gas stations had service bays with guys waiting around to do minor jobs like that. But gas stations don't have service bays anymore and most of the repair shops these days won't touch a car without an appointment, and want to charge and arm and a leg when they do . So where so people take cars these days for little stuff like this? - do chains like AutoZone replace bulbs? Or does she have to make an appointment and take it to a dealer?

Oh and maybe someone can tell me just how one goes about doing it on a 5 door - is it a big deal, like on the C900s, where you have to take the lens off, or easy?
