I like the idea of getting your radio a bottle of wine,
On these NG900 there are a couple of problems that present the same symptoms and cause confusion. All these have to do with the head unit talking to the changer
If you cant or never could talk to the changer thru the radio and the Sid does not display anything, check for blown fuses, bad changer cable or cable to changer not hooked up
If occasionally you have to reset the system, as in the FAQ’s then it could be that the head unit and changer had a fight and stopped talking to each other, just need to do what the FAQ’s say and soon all is well.
If you have to reset once an hour because cd stops or system locks up or one day it work and the next day it does not work, usually it’s the changer, common problem with front end design, need to be repaired
If your system cycles and moves to the track you selected pauses and then the radio starts playing again, this is the changer
Thanks, Wasyl at Saabradio
