It is a little bit tricky to replace that inner seal and some mechanics might not feel comfortable to do that.
It is in fact a steel washer crimped in place over the seal and it needs to be carefully pried off before the seal can be replaced.
After that it is a matter of geting that wasker back in place safely.
Also, the seal cannot be bought through regular Saab sources but I have found them at a transmission shop. It is used for some GM auto transmissions as a shifter shaft seal.
Most people when talking about replacing the seal they only know about the outer O-ring that is easily replace by removing the distributor (one bolt), but that O-ring doesn't fix the oil leak coming from inside the distributor.
