Thinking about buying a Saab

Well, I have my '96 900S 3dr. I like it, it has been fun but I would really like a turbo model. It's not something I want to do right now but maybe in a year's time. What I think I really would like to get is a '97 900SE turbo in a 5 door or convertible. My dad had a '97 900SET but he traded it for a '99 9-3SE, so I am used to the turbo. Basically it seems that I am looking at '97 900SEs with 100k and over in miles. That is fine with me, as I have so far put 59k miles on my Saab which brings it to 134k miles. It has been good. Now what are the real pro's and con's of the convertible vs the 5dr. I know the cargo space isn't as good but that's a risk worth taking. What about insurance?, I am 18 so I don't know how that would change. Also, gas mileage and what about manuals? I have an automatic but I would love to get a manual transmission. Any ideas or advice? Thanks in advance.
