I aggree with Dean. My old brakes stopped great. They were strong and slowed my car down from 130 mph to 60 mph several times on the autobahn with no fade. Upgrading will not solve your problem. Your pads and rotors maybe glazed over, your pads maybe subpar. If one of your calipers are sticking, you effectively lose braking on that wheel. Changing rotors and caliper is an expensive way to fix a problem that has not been narrowed down.
If you do upgrade, you do not need new hubs. The one tight part was the clearnace with the rims. The retaining spring did not fit well when the pads were new.
