This is what has happened to me in the first year!

Unpluged seat motor $0 DIY
A/C condencer/dryer evaporator and trimmings (shop) $1700 (ouch i was taken)
Alternator $190ish DIY
Water pump $100 DIY
Short belt, pully and tensioner<(ouch) $300ish DIY
Exhaust studs (shop) $450 (taken again, chickened out thinking about how much the head would cost if i messed up)
Automatic climet control temp sensor, cleaned it and turned it's gasket over $0 DIY
Window switches - coke spill from previous owner, cleaned up $0 DIY
Plugs $10 DIY
Alignment $200? (shop)
Front brake lines $160 DIY
Power steering pump $200? DIY

*need brake work now
*sunroof drain tubes need cleaning
*needs suspension components, sloppy compaired to our BMWs.

I dont know how anybody can efford to pay someone to work on there car. If I didnt have a good tool box and the will to do it my self I could not drive the class of car I am used to. When I loook back on what I chose to fix myself, on this and other cars, I always regret the expense of taking it to the shop.
