Hi Dean,
It's not just the sound quality that's lacking. I don't really care for the looks of the stock radio/dash setup and, since the car is my daily driver now, what I'm looking at is important to me. Plus I've only got a tape deck and, as I've said, I don't really care for CD changers (I've got one in the Jetta and I just think it's a PITA.)
I've recently sold the Porsche but I removed the aftermarket stereo setup I had in it first. I'd like to put that Alpine deck in there along with the speakers I have and possibly an amp. I know they sell aftermarket stereo-space delete kits for just this type of swap, but I'd rather fill up the extra space that would be left with another component instead of a blank piece of plastic fascia.
So, again, ideas...experiences??? Thanks!
