About to replace at least one possibly both rear calipers shown below. Prefer not to have to replace the brakes twice before I find out what the real problem is, and hope to avoid same on the front wheels. (pics thanks to a friendly mechanic while the car was on the lift)
I do not do my own brakes. Is there any maintenance to be done short of rebuilding and replacing calipers when they stop working? Fronts appear to allow for some servicing or at least lubrication, not sure about the rears. If there is a post on this topic already, pls post link, must have missed it.
Anything else to check/replace on the rears, such as brake lines, emergency brake pads?
Also, any info on replacing the smaller rotors and pads with the larger 97-98 brakes? Any posts on retrofitting the new parts on an early NG900?
