we have a BMW 318is 5 spd with limited slip differential that I actually prefer over the NG900 for snow conditions. My reasoning for this is with rear wheel drive you have much better contole in any slide - you power with the rear you steer with the front. Front wheel drive just seems to plow straight forward and you cant do anything once you loose traction with the front wheels. This opinion is also based on older tires on the BMW (!), and about 120 pounds in the trunk (cheating?) - also the ground clearance in the BMW aint much so, once you are over about 6" of snow - park it. anyway nothing beats an original VW beetle in the snow (2 wheel drive).
