Czar,
The relay to ground reading was .03V. It would only give a temporary reading meaning that when the test probes were touched to the pins it would read .03V and then reset to 0 even though the probes remained on the pins. This seemed suspect to me. Anyway, No I did not check the harness between B/C of the GPS. I checked pin 31/ pin C and pin 31/pin B at the relay socket. Both revealed a reading of 0V in the "P" position. When you refer to pins B&C of the GPS I assume you are not referring to the relay socket. Everything I did was at the relay. No, I did not receive the procedure for R/R of the gear selector lever as far as I can tell. I received the following:
1. "Checking the Shiftlock function."
2. "The Shift-lock's electro-magnet Removal."
3. "The shift lock relay."
Lastly, I did not perform step 5 of "Checking the shift-lock function" which is the check of the lifting magnet. As mentioned power to pin 87 actuated the magnet and the selector lever could then be moved so I assumed this meant the magnet was working correctly. Thanks for following up. Your direction at this point is appreciated as the sun is setting and the temp hovers at 4F.
