In 98 they went to the long 4 pin block in both the 900 and 9-3.
What you can do if careful is to disconnect the wire stump down at the pump and use the one from your car.
Just make sure that they haven't changed position of the wires so that you lead full power through the fuel level sensor.
I don't think it is any difference in location of the wires.
Also make sure that the lenght and bend of the fuel level float wire is exactly as your old pump so that you don't end up with a inaccurate fuel gauge.
That happens if you install a 9000 pump in a NG900 and you will run out of gas before the gauge show empty (ask me how I know).
