Saabnet has proven its value again!
Here's a recap of my situation. Last week, I had coolant leak in the head gasket area. I went to two mechanics and both recommended I replace the head gasket for $600 - $700. Before I made any decision, I remembered the posts about retorquing head bolts. I printed out the retorquing bulletin to my mechanic, and he thought it was worth a try.
It worked! Instead of paying at least $600 for an unnecessary repair, I paid $53. If it wasn't for Saabnet, I would have probably changed the head gasket without trying to retorque the head bolts.
Thanks so much for valuable tips.
Dan
