It's a good start but just keep in mind that the gasket might have taken a beating from not being clamped down for a long time.
Retorque is a low cost attempt to cure a leaking head gasket and if it fails, you'll end up having to replace the gasket anyway.
If it works, that's good.
This fellow with a 99 9-3 was a little bit too late at 91K miles and the head gasket had deteriorated to the point where coolant was constantly getting into the engine oil.
The damage is right at #10 head bolt.
