Thanks for taking the time, I really appreciate it. As for a long screwdriver, an extensible shaft driver was one of the first things (headlight alignment... chuckle).
My own '96 SET was reliable for 7 years and 84k miles, with the exception of the darn pulleys. A year ago the oil seal on the turbo blew... Saabs can make good smoke screens... downhill from there... LOL
I gave some of my better fractional wrenches to someone who needed them more than I a while ago. Does not really matter, most tools are cheap, even filling in my old SK set with new metric sockets and a few wrenches is not a lot of money compared to a few hours of labor at the dealer. Still have loads of electrical tools, scopes and meters, I think I could start an electrical repair shop.
Never owned a ratcheting box set, and some of the tight clearances and funky fasteners ("mushroom" torx bolts, platic rivets "designed to break"...) were a surprise... I hate doing anything with the wrong tools. I know nothing about fine v. coarse clicks, but I will investigate at Sears.
Still need to find a good SHORT sub-20lb torque wrench, I think Sears has one that goes down to 5 lb, but still looks long.
Thx again, & have fun with the 9K!
