if you position it to 4 you only get 3v
cover all the copper areas with some tape, except the slightly wider area on the opposite side of the LED
hang the wire from the + of the cr12xx battery to make contact with the wider area.
that way you get 6v instead of 3v like i was getting.. duh..

now its nice and bright
took me about 20mins with a small file to widen the opening and solder the copper

one thing that seemed to help is after you wrap the wire around the coil, use some solder to fill in the wrap, that way you have a bit better contact with the wire
