You might be able to rent a small car for less than the cost of a bus ticket. You might also be able to get someone to spot weld it (temporarily, long-term it would just crack elsewhere).
If the strut mount were to come loose while you are driving, the resulting damage to the suspension would probably cost a lot more than a new mount.
If the right mount is defective, the LEFT turn, where the side of the car with the defective mount is on the OUTSIDE of the curve would be where you notice it most... something else going on with your suspension?
