I need to drive from Montreal, Quebec to Dover, New Hampshire, about 250 interstate miles. My rh scantech strut mount is cracked badly and the right turn feels scary but I have been driving this way for almost a month and have learned to compensate. It is cracked in the exact manner that Gripen's mount cracked: here is the thread
http://saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=118222
My crack is identical, but wider. Is there risk of catastrophic failure or will it just handle badly?
If I can drive home carefully without fear of my right wheel turning 180 degrees on me I will fix it at home in my garage.
If not I will miss Easter or have to pay 140$ for a bus ticket.
Is it possible it could fail?
