Ripped balljoint boot, follow-up

Too much else to do right now, so I picked up a new bellows kit ($20) and a lock nut ($2.50) at the Saab dealer and let a mechanic at a local tire and brake shop do this job. Procedure was as follows:
car elevated to about knee height on the lift
front wheel came off
balljoint lock nut was removed and balljoint separated
(this allowed the control arms to hang down enough to access the balljoint)
old boot was cut off since it was ripped anyway
the balljoint was tight, but did not have much grease left
new grease put on the balljoint
the new boot was fitted with control arm still on the car
balljoint was reassembled with the new lock nut
$50 labor, in and out of the shop in about an hour. Time on the lift, about 45 minutes and no suspension parts had to come out of the car.
