Chances are you got air in the hydraulic line. If you got a power bleeder you can bleed the line. If the slave cylinder insider the transmission gave up, you will need to remove the entire transmission and replace it. Not common, but I heard of this happening before. Since that is the most expensive solution, I woul recommend that you bleed the clutch. What is the history of the clutch?
The line that feeds the clutch sits really high up in the brake reservoir, so if the fluid drops for any reason, is very easy to get air in the slave cylinder!
Where there is air in the slave cylinder you cannot generate enough hydraulic pressure to disengage the clutch from the flywheel. As a consequence the car gets "stuck" in gear!
