Search drs<underscore>install koni front and you'll get some great tips and step by steps...

13mm socket
15mm socket
18mm Open end wrench
11mm open end wrench

To remove the balljoint from strut...
Don't underestimate the pry bar between subframe and control arm and sharp blow with a hammer at the joint technique. I did this procedure twice in the last day and a half and I got it first time in 10 min and 2nd time today in less than 1 minute... Made me feel cool.
Or use a pickle since your old control arm is assumingly junk anyway and you can risk breaking the boot, you probably will.
