Just happen to have a lot of exposure to different versions of English and sometimes amused by the different interpretations one can reach. Why tyre in UK = tire in USA when describing a rubber thingy and tire in UK = tire in USA when describing getting sleepy - beats me. Agree programming languages are probably more rigorous though I learnt in the days of punched cards (damn it, the Florida syndrome again) and find today's languages rather verbose. Just tried to convert a DOS batch file to Windows Script - not a simple task for a VBScript novice like me. Enjoy the feast tomorrow
