The temperature of the enine is mainly a fuction of the engine thermostat and the radiator. The color of the paint will have very little effect on the engine temperature.
The color of the paint will have a pronounced effect on the interior temperature in a sunny climate. The A/c will need to work harder which will cause some extra engine load which might cause the engine to run a little hotter. However, the Saab 9-3 has a good radiator and fan system so I doubt that it will be any problem. Just make sure the engine thermostat, radiatior, hoses, coolant, etc. are maintained properly (per the owner's manual) and there should be no problems with engine overheating.
Being a turbo charged enigine, you should really consider synthetic oil (like Mobil 1 5W-30 or 10W-30) for the best engine life. Depending on your driving habits, changing synthetic oil and filter every 5,000 miles for mainly city driving and every 10,000 miles for mainly highway mileage should work just fine.
