The ECU will manage boost with timing and mixture. It will not be able to reduce boost. So good fuel, plugs, clean injectors, low restriction intake and exhaust will help avoid condtions where knocking is an issue.
If you have a T7 ECU, then I do not know what will happen. Do you have an air mass meter as well as a pressure meter?
The ECU will perform a fuel cut when the pressure exceeds an arbitrary level or goes out of the range of the fuel mapping. No problem there. I do not know if the T7 will freak out or simply map fuel like the T5.
Sport mod is probably only affecting gearing. Going to a manual controller with full boost in 1st gear might not be a good thing for the autobox.
Don't know the pressure VS indicator readings. The T7's don't indicate pressure, but indicate air mass flow rates.
You don't need a boost guage to set up a controller, as you will be adjusting relative to the fuel cut. If you want one, connect into the small line that goes to the pressure sensor, and tee with a rubber vacuum line part. Don't hang big heavy brass compression fittings on the hoses.
The HP might be around 220. This will depend on other mods. The biggest effect will be the power in lower gears and the fast onset of boost. If you set it up to touch the red, the HP will not change, but the vehicle will be much faster.
So much depends on which ECU you have. We don't have any results for a T7. It might work on a T7, but Saab might have closed the doors with this technology. For example, on a VW TDI diesel, if you change the turbo vane controller, the ECU may see a long term pressure deviation from expected, and throw a CEL (check engine light) and go into limp mode until the engine is shut down and restarted. The T5 does not care.
