I live in Tampa-St. Pete Florida. Drive a 99 9-3 base 22,000 miles. Am interested in getting 10+ years out of this car with few repairs as possible.

Am thinking about using synthetic-everybody seems to be raving about it.
1)What advantages does it speicifically give me in Florida and at what intervals?

2)What do you do with your old oil after changes and at what type of costs?

3) Presently am using regular oil. Do I need to do this gradually or could I jump right into it? Any complications or specific advice when changing oil for this car. I have not done it in years.

4) also am thinking of using that K %n filter. Will it do me any good for longetivity of my car to use it? And what results will that give me if it is the only thing that I do (No other air stuff)?

5) I use mobil 87 gas. How often should I toss in a bottle of that techron?

Thanks again I know some of this is a little repitious but this applies directly to me.
