You are using 87 octane fuel? Your cost cutting is in conflict with your requirement that the engine last a long time.
You are only driving about 10000 miles per year. Use mobil-1 10w30 and change the oil twice a year. Use a Purolator Pure-One oil filter. You can take your waste oil to many places that sell oil and they will recycle it.
Advantages? Less wear, lower friction, less carbon deposits that lead to sticking piston rings.
You can change to synthetic any time, no voodoo, just a different bottle.
A K&N air filter will improve the onset of boost and provide for more power at high rpm's. You will need to clean it. Most folks do this every year. Perhaps every other for you. Don't replace turned end for end from original orientation.
Techron will keep the engine running smoother and starting beter. With low octane fuel and engine deposits, (which will be worse), the trionic will be detuning your engine when on boost. Techron Concentrate is what you need. There are other Techron products.
