back in '95 my Z28 got hit by a hail storm and had about 7 goodsize dimples. Got them removed using painless dent removal and made $400 off the insurance company because they didn't approve of the painless dent removal process. IE they wanted to have my hood repainted. You couldn't tell that anything had ever happened to the car. Give it a shot. It's cheaper than bodywork and you don't have to worry about pain overspary.
