As an insurance agent I have seen a lot of auto damage.
My customers and myself have both used PDR with good results.
Most of the time it works like Magic. But... as my PDR guy
points out.." Dents equate to stretched metal." As You have
many many dents, you have a lot of stretched metal. You will
likely see some waves.
A Viggen is not an inexpensive automobile. Remember you
should be carrying comprehensive coverage which usually
covers "falling objects" i.e. hail. Check with your agent
you should have coverage. Coverages vary from state to state
and as a disclaimer "I am not an Oklahoma agent, Call your
agent."
Under comprehensive you will be offered a settlement.
If the Viggen were my car, I would consider putting whatever
settlement towards, a Hood, and the rest PDR. Yeah, the hood
will be a repaint but as driver it is the body panel you
look at the most and you will notice any PDR imperfections.
You did say three or four dents per inch?
Good luck! I hope the Viggen recovers.
