Aaron my man . . . you've come to the right place to ask this question. The members of Saabnet are in resounding agreement on the subject of gasoline. Our opinion is as follows (if I may speak for us all);
Use 87 if you lease your car and don't really care about performance. 87 will get you from point A to point B and your Saab will compensate for the reduced quality gas.
Use 89 if you're frugal (too cheap) when it comes to purchasing gas. 89 will provide a bit more response from your engine. I admit it . . . sometimes I'm just too cheap myself to buy 93.
Use 93 if you like to feel the response of the Saab turbo-charged four cylinder engine as it was meant to be. More than most other engines, a turbo-charged engine responds to better gas with better performance. You may not feel it after one tank but you should after two. If you're not filling the car often, why not spend an extra $2 per month to ensure your vehicle is getting the best gas it can?
