You're right on the money. They're not quite as good as the regular springs. I found the Eibachs to be softer than the stock ones, especially the rear, so rough icy roads were OK.
One thing to note was that when the snow was high, you could hear the bottom of the car hitting the snow and ice much more than before.
Here's what I did: Get some rubber donut spring spacers at your local auto parts store. I jack the car up and slide them into the springs when I know snow is coming.
