I think the Eibachs were my favorite. The 9-3 base is a smooth ride so you might be right. Here's my history of springs
1) Stock SE suspension
2) Viggen springs with OE dampers
3) Eibach springs with Konis
4) B&G springs with Konis
I still think the Eibachs were a little soft but it was a good mix of handling and comfort. The Viggen rear springs are by far the stiffest of the bunch. The rear B&Gs are perfect but the fronts lower too much and aren't still enough for how much they lower. I'll probably leave the B&G rears and put the Viggen front springs back on. At least I'll have SOME snow clearance. The Eibachs were sold to Baab who couldn't fit them on his NG900 so now Tony C has them. Small world..
Other suspension modifications include; Viggen rescue pack (without subframe brace), and the Abbott rear swaybar which could be stiffer.
Even with the modifications, the car is still heavier in the front and a front driver so it's not quite a sports car but handles very well for a relatively comfortable practical good looking car.
The other day my neighbor watched me pull a very tall curio cabinet out of the back of the Saab. He was amazed. He asked me what other kinds of magic tricks I would play. He has a Pathfinder which he's starting to realize is rather small, and a Passat which is nice but doesn't have the capacity of the 9-3.
