love my new 9-3SE-- but can we soften its ride a bit?

Picked up my 2002 9-3SE in Austin and drove it home to Beaumont (~275 miles). Got 32 mpg while varying highway speeds 65-85 mph. All the bells and whistles work. I'm pleased. I appreciate very much the exchange of info on this forum, which helped me make an informed purchase.
So I made it almost to the highway exit to my home when a passing truck stone-chipped my windshield. Shee-et, man. What did Robert Frost say? Nothing gold can stay... That stone chip's got me waxing poetic.
The ride's stiff enough that my ten year old described it as "harsh." Any suggestions out there? Take a little air out of the Pirellis? (They were all at 32-33 psi, cold).
