The one thing that will turn me against a brand of car would be the quality of service at the dealership.
There is no such thing as a perfect car. They all have some degree of mechanical breakdowns and require routine maintenance.
That being said, the fact that I am driving my second SAAB and looking forward to my third when the lease is up, speaks volumes for the service department at Lehman SAAB in Miami.
Lehman has about seven different franchises, but only SAAB has a service writer dedicated only to SAAB. Francis Walker has working on SAAB's for about twenty years, so he knows what he is doing. Lehman participates in the SAAB loaner program, so if you schedule in advance, you will get a loaner car.
While this seems like an endorsement, it is also a checklist of what you should be looking for in a dealership service department in order to have a happy experience with a SAAB or any other car.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
