I see all the interest in the lease deal for 2002. I'm in the process of leaving a 94 900 V6 and considering a 1999 9-3 or a 2002 lease. I'm guessing it's similar cost for each over 3 years (ok, I wouldn't own the 2002 at the end, but I only want to pony up so much for the next 3 years and I'll worry about 2005 in 2005). The 1999s I see are at about 45000 miles in my area (Minneapolis). Any great features that the 1999 is missing?

Any thoughts on the service issues with a 1999 at those miles? Things to check on? Reasons to avoid? I'd likely get an extended warranty if need be, but that's another $2000 I bet. I'm attracted to the 2002 since I bet most bugs are worked out, but I haven't been on this board to know if the 1999s give me legitimate concerns that I should really stay away. If no concerns, then perhaps the car would be dependable and I'd be an owner in 2005 of a good thing.
