I would say AGAIN to get a TECH 2 hooked up to your car for the $ 60. bucks or so it would cost.
Then you could take the TECH 2 analysis/diagnosis BACK to your regular mechanic, and pay him the (presumed) lower rates per hour to fix your car.
Additional observations of mine are that if the charcoal canister became satuated with water, you could have a run problem. Understanding that, and the purge vale on the top of the canister COULD be bad after a deep water bath.
The crank sensor is on the lower end of the engine, could have been compromised by submersion in water---but TECH 2 could quickly tell you.
The blinking light/flashing light codes you say your mechanic is utilizing to trouble-shoot problems on your car presently, IS NOT the BEST way to work on a SAAB. That technology is past. Making an inverstment in a TECH 2 is not cheap for a car repair shop, but it SAVES in the long run--to you, and for your mechanic.
