All roads will eventually do some damage to cars, gravel just more quickly. Fortunately, Saab tests their cars extensively on gravel roads near the Arctic circle. You'll note an extra panel on the front of your rear wheel wells. It's there for a reason. I get quite a bit of chips & wear on them from the front wheels kicking up stones. You may want to put some easily removable tape on them before the trip. When other cars approach from the front, slow considerably & pull to the far right to avoid stones going into your headlights, fogs & windshield. Otherwise, drive & enjoy; just don't give it hell if you're worried about the surface finish.
