I've a base 9-3 - 1999.

The folding rear seat is a problem, I can cram the seat cushion but what's the point. the rear seat should fold down without needing to deform the seat cushion. NOT A BIG DEAL FOR ME THOUGH.

SWAY is another matter. Even with the SAS sway bar, it still has some body roll. But don't say it's a Buick..I think the tendancy with these cars is to drive it hard into turns due to the power and responsiveness of the turbo so it's hard to tell. Without question though, the suspension set up is not the greatest and having to throw $$ for a sway bar, springs, shocks, and the infamous "rescue kit" seems extreme to me. If you want crisp handling - but no power, I hear the Mazda MP3 is supposed to be incredible.

Wind Noise - yes it's noisy but I can live with it.

DRIFT - this is due to the camber steer issue with these cars. An inherent design flaw I believe.

ONE MORE THING - You may want to drive the 5speeds longer. The Saab does not have the best 5 speed. It is notchy and imho the synchros are not great so you don't always get a clean shift. Now I know that you'll get lots of people who'll say I don't know how to drive but i've driven stick for 18 years. And this is not one of my all time favorites...

All in all, I love driving this car - they're fun, pracical, economical, different, with personality..
