Honda lower reliability than Saab on average

I had a '95 900 that had at least 5 major issues, and spent over 30 days in the shop over a 5 year period covering 60,000 km. Very unacceptable.
My wife has a '97 900 which now has 178,000 km and other than a brake job and some exhaust work, all we do is put in gas and go. We live in the rust belt, where you won't find too many solid Japanese cars much older than 10 years.
I now own a '00 9-3. It has been flawless in 2 years.
Every year of Saab gets better and eventually they surpass the Accords of the world, since they have a longer product cycle to get things right. Honda gets it right the first time. That is the difference in my view. Check this out if you have other lingering questions...

Frankly, you'd be hard pressed to do better than a recent 9-3 and you'll smile a lot more than with a lot of other good cars.
