I've driven all of these cars except for the bird, and I can tell you the numbers do not tell the story. Yes BMW has a better chassis and brakes, but the handling is only based on what you are used to. I drove the 330 and it felt gutless next to the Vig. The Volvo was spunky, but felt like the engine was going to rod itself above 4K. It road like a floaty cadallac with a turbo. They also failed to mention that the Saab has 9 lb ft of torque less than the fords V8. If they added a real world rolling acceleration test, from 30-75, the performance cream would rise to the top.
