This is not normal, and they should know it..... not of 65.. Bull SHIT... you should write letter to Saab Corp (not that anyone in a leadership position will bother to read it or reply to it, they will however send a nice generic lip service note about how glad they are you sent them email.)
The NG900/9-3 has a weak seal in that door corner.. my 97 900 had it as well as the 2000 Viggen...
Saab should stop denying these silly little problems and fix them... My educated guess ( i used to work in industrial rubber, gaskets, seals etc)is that the alignment of the door against the A pillar is variable and that the door seal is suppossed to make up the difference. In the Viggen, the dealer also waved it off as no problem... I gave up the lease on the V prior to fighting the battle. It was plain to see that the extrusion of the gasket is thin in places, not allowing a proper seal to be made between the door and the pillar. In mine I could mark the door and the rubber and plainly see where the two never touched. ... some of your problem might be due to air getting by the first seal and puffing out the door making the situation worse... of course having a dealer that denies there is aproblem just plain shouldn't happen.. It make you the customer feel stupid, and then makes you mad at the dealer... but then, Saab Corp does exert considerable pressure to keep warrenty work to a minimum... little problems can add up to very big problems... I know.. . my used Aero purchase was riddled with little problems that have ended up making me sour on the whole deal... I'll write that up anohter time...
