I just shipped my Saab to the US and I will follow shortly. It is a base 9-3 that I would regularly cruise between 100 - 110 MPH on the autobahn here in Germany. When the conditions were right (open autobahn and I didn't care about fuel consumption at the moment), I would cruise at 130 - 140 MPH. Top speed, confirmed with GPS, was 153 MPH. Supposedly it is limited at 143 MPH according to the owners manual, but I took it to 153 MPH on several occasions on level ground and could get it to go no faster. The car is impressive. There are faster cars too. Sitting at 120 MPH and having a Mercedes Benz CLK pull away from you like you were sitting still is impressive. Regardless, I enjoyed playing in the fast traffic! And it is impressive how many Saabs are parked at the racing events here in Europe. A fast crowd indeed!
