If you want the best wet and dry traction get the Potenza S-03's. They are $127 at tirerack. If you have snow, you would definately need winter tires and steel rims. Many Saabers to this. I run snow tires in Kansas to deal with the ice mostly. Its a basic life or death thing when commuting at 75 mph with a bunch of idiots on worn summer and all season tires who are sliding and killing each other. Its nice to be able to brake and steer to avoid the problems that others create. But Dawin is a work as these folks kill each other off! Its good to have insurance, but staying alive is quite another issue.
I also have an opinion of folks who want the trick brakes and rotors who run tires that will not provide the traction to allow the brakes to do what they should.
