My 2001 9-3 Convertible has given me more problems in 15 months than a Subaru has ever given any of the owners I know who has them. A Subaru will never do the following in 15 months:
Busted Alternator
Busted Started
Busted Clutch (at only 15,000 miles)
Busted ECU
Busted Ignition Cassette
Busted Shift Rod
Busted Hyraulic system for convertible top
And finally, busted turbo, I'm sure I missed something. All warranty work, with an attitude though.

I love my Saab, I think it is a beautiful car, and when it works, it is a joy to drive. But when I used to go to autocrosses (only three times, I fear for the Saab and don't go anymore) there were at least 12 WRXs and NONE of them ever gave any significant problems according to their owners.

Bruce, the WRX is an all new vehicle built on a FRESH platform. The 9-3 is built on an aging platform based on technology from the 900!

So far it seems Saab nailed it with the all new 9-3, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new convertible and giving Saab another chance, but don't diss on Subaru because they have built an amazing car with the WRX that outmuscles the 9-3 in almost every single aspect for thousands less. I would've bought on myself if it wasn't so damn ugly.
