I think you need to learn a few things about the WRX before you speak. The car has been available in Japan for longer than the Viggen has existed (1999). That is a fact! The WRX type A has been around since 1992, and the model that was finally imported to the USA (or exported depending on which side of the Pacific Ocean you are on) is the type F.

Yes I have driven both cars. While the Viggen is more of a "refined" driving car (it should be for a $38,000 to $40,000 car) hands down the WRX will out perform a Viggen any day of the week, and for $15,000 less!!!

A stock WRX will do 5.6 second 0-60 spints while a Viggen will pull mid 6's. A stock WRX will pull
the 1/4 mile in 14.1 seconds and the Viggen takes 15.5. The best thing is since it is AWD there isn't any FWD torque steer! The WRX lays it's power down on the road a lot more abruptly than a Viggen (it is a lighter car after all), but you don't have to worry about the steering wheel getting yanked out of your hand and worry about hitting a telephone pole when laying into it.

So I think you are incorrect for calling me "Another misinformed poor soul". I consider myself to leave my blinders at home and look at every car that is out on the market with due respect. If me knowing this much about the WRX is considered to be "misinformed", I'll take being misinformed over what you consider to be informed or educated any day of the week.

FYI, when the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo comes to the US, it will have been available in Japan for many years (I believe also since 1992), so don't think it is a "new" car, and that to will blow the doors off of a Viggen.
