Ok. I understand now. I've tried the clothes hanger, and can get the click, but can't exert enough "pull" to get the unit out. (Previous messages say it "slides right out").
I'll look for the tool instead.
This may or may not do what I want. This is the problem...
I've replaced the front dash speakers with Infinity Kappas. It sounds much better with respect to imaging and clarity. Then, against recommendations here, I replaced the rear 6x9 with Kappas also. The entire system sounds worst now. I lost some of the clarity in the front, and the rear actually sounds worst. I think its because the lack of power to drive these speakers. To make it worst, the door speakers are much louder than the other speakers, making the sound very unbalanced.. (must turn down the bass).
Right now, since I'm the only one in the car, I just set the FADE to full front to get my clarity back from the Kappa dash speakers. What I'm thinking is that I rewire it so that the external amp power the rear 6x9 while I plug the door speakers into the rear connectors of the head-unit. Either that or just disable the door speakers all together. I'll see what happens.
