Right on man!
I love VWs too, so it was a tough choice for me. You won't be disappointed. Just tonight, I was at a sort-of weekly car show, and I was the only Saab there. People didn't even know that in 99, all saabs came with turbos, and these people were all amazed over an old probe with a turbo. I put on a Turbo XS BOV, Eibach springs, x-drilled zimmerman rotors, If you are interested in moding your saab, there's a lot out there, but not as much as the jap stuf. but hey, it's all fun, no matter what brand you drive right???
Good Luck. I have 73K miles on my 9-3 Se with no major problems... Rock on!
