I 'heard' peanut butter works.
Conversely, I just bought Zymol "saab" wax from carcareonline.com and it does NOT haze on the exterior trim. Funny, since there are a lot of plant oils in the mix, this probably correlates the peanut butter senario. Armour All and others use a lot of non-plant derived compounds to simulate what slightly more expensive, natural products do better.
As a note, I never use anything but a wet cloth on the tires or the dash as there are already compounds in the tires that combat UV and weather as long as they are used (I forget the oil, but it is renewed on the surface while the tire is rotating under load after UV destroys the layer above) and anything you put on the dash will cause undue reflection/glare in the windshield. Armor All and others will block the oil in the tires from coming to the surface and thus contributing to tire rot.
The tire information came in a nice car care packet along with the products and complimentary gifts I got from carcareonline.
later,
tony
