If you have YSDF as the first five digits, I believe you have the SE.
I am not at all convinced at this point that there is a 9-3 "S" (in the US). Even the sales manager at my Saab Dealer tells me their is no such thing as a 9-3 "S" in the United States. Of course being human, he could be wrong but I tend to believe humans before electronic impulses.
Certainly be nice to know the correct terminology for the vehicles we drive! I agree, weird!
