with Kumho's. I've put 712's on several of my cars in the past and have been happy. Of course, they were all Miatas (which don't weigh anything). Perhaps on a heavier car, I would have noticed something. I've been happy with their grip, although the Pirelli P700Z was a much better tyre for the money ($47.ºº for a 205/50/15). On a side note, the new Ecsta V700 is a great R-compound tyre for not a lot of dough. They don't have the longevity of the Victoracer V700, but are much higher on the Stickiness Scale. Also, for competition purposes, unshaved Ecsta V700's are great rain tyres; in fact are almost good enough to be mounted as street tyres (without long treadlife, of course).
Cheers,
Brian.
