Check Engine Light-Dealer blames K&N Air Filter

I have had a K&N airfilter in my 1999 93-SE for over two years now. Monday my check engine light came on (again) so I made an appointment for today at the dealer. I also stated that during the few cold mornings we had the engine temp has not been going into normal operational range even after 15 minutes of stop and go driving.
My last visits on the Check engine light were at 38,and 44 thousuand miles and back then they thought it was just moisture in the O2 sensor. The just cleared the error from the computer.
Now that I have 55 thousand miles on her the dealer says they think the problem is with the air filter. He has recomended that I buy a 30 dollar paper/fibre filter from him along with a new O2 sensor. I asked him what his proof was on air filter and he said that he has been reading simular complaints from other SAAB dealers using oiled filters causing. The O2 sensor is covered under warranty but not the insallation. (80,000 mile emmisions warranty).
I've never had any issues with K&N on my other cars using the K&N Air filter. Why would SAAB be any different.
